Power Goal Writing
In order for humans to be happy, we must have a master plan involving goal setting. Only 2% of the population actually writes goals. Isn't it interesting that only 2% of our nation is independently wealthy?
Webster's Dictionary defines a goal as, "The end toward which effort is directed." The "end" can be referred to as the desired result . Most people don't live their lives with goals. They choose to live life any way it comes. Although everyone has a few goals (getting the paycheck, picking up the kids, going on vacation, etc.), most people think it is too much work to actually sit down and write out what they want out of life. In turn, they don't get their desired results. Since we are talking about desired results, we intentionally set our focus on what we want, instead of what we don't want.
Dr. Duckett always says, "You have a choice - either work for your goals or for someone else's."
By setting goals, you create a bigger picture for your life. It is a directional tool . Can you imagine driving across country without a road map? This is what you're doing when you go through life without goals. Without goals an individual is lost, and wonders why they can't find their destination.
